TL;DR: This post introduces Cody, an AI agent that analyses your n8n workflows and offers optimisation suggestions. It explains setup, key capabilities, and how Cody accelerates automation design for both beginners and power users.

A few days ago I put out a post that gathered loads of responses. It said this:

I got really excited about this because the world doesn’t need more no-code workflows, they just need us to be better at deciding which to use and how to use them.

So I built Cody.

It’s a free AI assistant that knows ~70% of all workflows that can be found in the n8n template marketplace.

It’s using Gemini 2.0 Flash and for the nerds: here’s the Github repo.

Cody will block you from sending messages after a while because I had to put in limitations otherwise I’d go bankrupt from API costs. Then you have three options:

For coders: Self host Cody using the Github repo.

For non-coder techies: Get a Gemini API key, submit that to Cody and keep using.

For non-coders who value convenience: Provide your email to sign up to the waitlist for a paid version.
